Questions parents ask before enrolling
How young can my child start?
From Year 1 — roughly age 5 — if they are in a British-curriculum school or working toward one. For very young children we keep sessions shorter, slower, and highly visual. Tell us your child's age and we'll place them in the right year group before the first class.
Do you teach from my child's own school book?
Yes — that is the default. We work from the same textbook and chapter order your child's school uses, so what happens in class matches what they see in school tests. No random worksheet piles.
Is the camera mandatory? My child is shy on video.
Both cameras stay on — teacher and student — because young children drift when no one is watching. For shy children we start gently: short wins, familiar book pages, and a teacher matched for patience. Most parents are surprised how quickly confidence builds once the child realises someone is genuinely paying attention to them.
What if the teacher isn't the right fit?
Tell us early — we rematch without drama. Primary children need a teacher they trust; if the style doesn't click, we find someone who does. No awkward conversations required on your side.
How do you keep a young child focused online?

What is the difference between Year and Grade?
British schools use 'Year' groups; many families say 'Grade.' British Year is usually Grade + 1 — a child in Grade 4 is typically in Year 5. We place by age to be exact.
What ages do you teach at primary and middle level?
Year 1 to Year 9 — ages roughly 5 to 14, covering Key Stages 1, 2 and 3 of the British curriculum.
